Bible Portions: Ruth 1 to 4; 1 Samuel 1 to 7; Ecclesiastes 1 to 6; John 1 to 12; Galatians 1 to 6
General Rules and Regulations
- Rounds: The quiz will be conducted in two stages: the Preliminary Round and the Final Round.
- Unit Representation: Each Catechism unit may nominate up to three teams.
- Student Eligibility: Each team must include at least one Catechism student from Standards IV to XII.
- Sibling Participation: Siblings may participate only if they are also Catechism students.
- Parent Participation: Participation of both parents (father and mother) is strongly encouraged. In unavoidable circumstances, at least one parent must be present.
- Reporting Time: All participants are required to report to the venue by 1:30 PM, at least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.
- Items to Bring: Teams are requested to bring their own pens and writing boards.
- Answer Sheets: Answer sheets will be provided by CBC Mandya.
- Reference Bibles: Only the NRSV (English) and POC (Malayalam) Bibles are permitted for reference.
Preliminary Round
- Format: Written examination
- Duration: 40 minutes
- Total Marks: 50
- Language: Questions will be provided in both Malayalam and English. Teams may answer in either language; however, mixing languages within the paper is not permitted.
- Instructions: All answers must be written only in the spaces provided on the question paper.
- Selection: The top 6 teams will qualify for the Final Round.
Final Round
- Format: Audio-Visual / Oral
- Number of Rounds: Between 5 and 7, as determined by the Quiz Master
- Language Preference: Questions will be asked in English or Malayalam, according to the team’s preference.
- Tie-breaker: In case of a tie for the top 3 positions, an additional tie-breaker round will be conducted.
- Recognition: The top 3 teams will be honored at the CBC Mandya Annual Award Ceremony.
- Decision: The Quiz Master’s decision is final in the event of any disputes or clarifications.
